The Guardian education section often ask me to shoot stories locally for the newspaper and website.
Recently I was asked to shoot a story in a school in Dursley, Gloucestershire.
I was tasked by The Guardian to shoot pictures at Rednock School where vulnerable pupils have been going in during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Importantly during this time of pandemic and lockdown and working with vulnerable children no one could be identified.
Vulnerable students are blossoming in the school, with part-time hours and one-to-one support state schools could only have dreamt of before.
At the moment there is one teacher to four students, which means pupils can be given unprecedented tailored pastoral and academic support.
Given the need for anonymity we used a few techniques to shield the pupils..
Shooting from behind, and in isolation enabled us to get the results needed for the article.
